A beginning

This is Grand Pre in Oct 1956.   DAR 1046 with a short eastbound freight has stopped briefly while the crew seems to be checking out something in the base of the water tower.    This pic was taken by my father and we lived for a time in the Annapolis Valley, and it was the Dominion Atlantic Railway that gave me my "first" railway experience.   While I do not remember steam, the DAR c.1956 lives on in O scale.    This blog will provide a record of some of the fun with the layout building.
